Richmond County has an outstanding Existing Industry Program for our local industries, manufacturers, distribution centers, and support companies.
The Development Authority visits
each company personally to encourage the company’s growth and economic vitality every year.

Training

Augusta-Richmond County provides employers with free employee recruiting, screening, and training. Georgia’s Quick Start is an innovative on-site training program custom-designed to meet the needs of each company prior to plant start-up. Augusta Technical College is recognized as one of the country’s top technical training centers.

Welcome to Augusta's economic development organization, the Development Authority of Richmond County.

We work to recruit new manufacturing, distribution, assembly and related industrial facilities to Augusta, and we focus on the expansion of our many fine existing industries. Also, we recruit national and regional corporate headquarters, customer service centers, major retail investments, hospitality ventures and life sciences projects. The Development Authority is the bonding agency for Revenue Bonds for industrial, hospitality, educational, medical, technology and other related investments in Augusta.

•  The Development Authority of Richmond County announced today that Southern Business & development magazine, one of the premier economic development magazines in the United States, has named Augusta as one of the “Top Ten Places in the South With Plenty of Talented Labor”.  Today’s announcement was made in conjunction with the magazine’s Spring 2006 issue featuring the “Top Tens”
in various categories.
